Dr P C Thomas Foundation identified 3 deserving poor students from Kandal and has sponsored their school fee for the academic year (2023-24). The details are as follows :-

- S. Franklin George – St Joseph’s Higher Sec School, Ooty – Grade 7 – School Fee for one year – Rs. 7,000/-
- D. Rohith – St Joseph’s Higher Sec School, Ooty – Grade 10 – School Fee for one year – Rs. 2,600/-
- B. Nathira Fathima – Rex Senior Sec School, Ooty – Grade 6 – School Fee for one year – Rs. 24,500/-
